Metallurgical Processing Engineer - 3 job openings

Lead mechanical engineer for feasibility studies and/or EPCM mineral processing projects.
- Working with and supervising a team of mechanical engineers who will perform mechanical design of the plant including creating specifications for purchase of mineral processing equipment such as grinding mills, cyclones, flotation cells, thickeners, electrowinning cells, slurry pumps, lime slaking system, gold refinery, etc.; performing hydraulic/pneumatic calculations and piping stress analyses; creating piping and valves specifications for purchase.

Project Manager, Mining & Metals - 2 openings

 

Plan, organize and direct all project activities including design, procurement, scheduling, estimating, cost control, construction, start-up and commissioning
- Organizing resources and establishing priorities with multi-national projects in the metals & mining industry
- Develop, establish and manage the scope, schedule, budget and implementation plan

Project Controls Lead -10 positions

 

Supervising the Project Control team effort in maintaining schedules, cost controls, forecasting and in all level of reporting.

  • Initiating analysis of schedule slippages and cost variances. Recommend mitigation for adverse variances.
  • Coordinating the team's development of all deliverables
  • Ensuring Project Controls activities are in accordance with set project procedures., including preparation of schedules, cost reports, cash flow and variance analysis.

-Knowledgeable on all aspects of construction contracts formation, including assisting in initiating and developing individual contracting strategies, pre-qualification of bidders and development of bidder lists, development of contract RFP documents.
-Lead all bid cycle activities, including chairing RFP explanation meetings and bid clarification meetings, manage all responses to bidder queries, develop commercial bid evaluations and coordinate technical evaluations with engineering.

The selected candidate will lead, manage and be an integral member of the contract management team for large Infrastructure or Mining project(s) located in Canada. Manage a staff of contract personnel and coordinate with sales, engineering, project manager, project controls, site management as well as the client to ensure proper contracting effort in accordance with Company practices and policies. Provide planning, preparation and issuance of project contract documents in accordance with the contract project execution plan and procedures.

- Develop staffing plans, effort hour estimates and execution plans for the Contract Management function for the project.
- Develop Contracting plans and procedures with the support of other disciplines and functions for implementation by the project
- Interface with internal and external management with respect to project contracting activities.
- Participate and supervise others in project set up and procedure development
- Guide efforts for developing contractor resource surveys and develop Master Bidder List for the project
- Supervise a team of people in performing all contract pre-award activities, contractor selection, interface with engineering, project and client representatives to support preparation of RFP, bid evaluation and negotiations up to award and contract execution

Develop valid project coding structures and work packages for the scope of work
·Design or assist in the design of a Work Breakdown Structure that is suitable for capturing all cost components
·Oversee the development of Discipline Material Take-Offs, Material Pricing and Labour Effort-hour Units for estimates and change orders.
·Coordinate information exchange between the Engineering, Purchasing and Construction groups.
·Participate in the development of the Project Execution Plan, estimate basis and procedures.
·Develop and maintain project-level and control-level estimating schedules.

Candidates with experience working for an EPCM organization in the mining, mineral processing or related heavy industries will be preferred.
·The Estimating Lead must have capable supervisory skills, the ability to prioritize multiple work tasks and the ability to work under strict deadlines.

Material Management - Procurement - Senior Manager 3 positions

 

 

 

As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing multi-discipline material management functions and activities on capital projects
  • Procurement, expediting, supplier quality surveillance, material planning and logistics of equipment and bulk construction materials on a project, including: ball mills, crushing equipment, conveyors and hardware, flotation circuits, SX/EW circuits, autoclaves, shop tanks, structural steel and engineered buildings, electrical and instrumentation equipment, mechanical equipment, piping and multidiscipline bulk materials
  • Planning, organizing and directing the activities of buyers, expeditors, inspectors, and technical support staff, in the procurement of necessary materials, equipment and services, in accordance with the project's standards, specifications and construction schedules
  • Managing the procurement work process and reporting the status of purchased material and equipment from the time of purchase through receipt at the project site
  • Preparation of bid documents, requests for proposals, quotations, and soliciting of prices from bidders for materials/equipment in accordance with specifications, drawings, commercial terms and conditions
